any thanks to all our fellow Tigers and guests who joined us at
Brighton Beer Garden on Saturday for a big
Mizzou win in the Arch Rivalry season opener against Illinois. We had a bit of a shaky start, as our original venue (Union St. in Newton) did not have the game televised as they'd previously confirmed. But, in true Mizzou fashion and not to be defeated, we were warmly welcomed by the Brighton Beer Garden and their fantastic wait staff & delicious menu. (For those of you who joined us and have a Delta Skymiles Dining account, you may be pleasantly surprised to see that you earned miles at the event if you happened to use your registered credit/debit card!)
The fantastic season-opener turnout yielded over 25 attendees to witness the Tigers rally in the second half, scoring 20 points, to top the Illini 23-13. Our generous alumni and friends also donated twenty pounds worth of food (no packaging included in weight), benefitting the
Greater Boston Food Bank!
